The Office of the Speaker, Alban Bagbin has refuted Martin Amidu's claim of a secret meeting with President Akufo-Addo in Dubai before the 2022 budget rejection.
Bagbin's office denied any meeting outside Ghana, labeling the accusation false and baseless.
They are therefore demanding that Amidu retracts and apologize within seven days, or further action will be taken.
Bagbin's office vowed to continue parliamentary duties despite attacks. They stressed that parliamentary decisions reflect citizens' voices through legislators.
Amidu is urged to acknowledge the implications of his claims on Bagbin's reputation and the integrity of Parliament.
