Mussa Dankwa, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, advised NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to strategically deploy his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, for campaigning.
A recent poll indicated a decline in voter support in NPP strongholds following Opoku Prempeh's nomination, with 42% of NPP voters rejecting the party due to his selection.
In the Greater Accra Region, support for the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government fell from 59% in 2020 to 41% in 2024, while John Mahama’s support rose from 40% to 56%.
Dankwa urged Bawumia to limit Opoku Prempeh’s presence in Greater Accra, Central, and Western Regions to mitigate negative impacts.
