Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Titus Glover, has emphasized that chieftaincy should promote friendship, collaboration, and community development, rather than conflict.
His remarks came ahead of a historic visit by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to the Ga State, announced by the Ga Mantse on June 6. Leader of the planning committee, Nii Boi Abbey, noted that this visit, which includes a special durbar hosted by Ga Mantse King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, marks a milestone in the history of the two kingdoms.
Glover highlighted the strong cultural ties and mutual respect between the Gas and Ashantis, stressing that the essence of chieftaincy is unity, not war.
