Vice Chairman of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, Nana Akomea, has dismissed claims that the Vice President’s extended time in the Ashanti Region reflects dissatisfaction among voters.
Speaking on Channel 1, he clarified that the 15-day visit was part of a broader strategy to engage all 47 constituencies in the NPP stronghold.
Akomea explained that Dr. Bawumia’s campaign approach—covering three constituencies per day—has been consistent across regions, including Eastern and Greater Accra.
“Your stronghold must take much of your time,” he emphasized, rejecting suggestions of disproportionate focus on Ashanti Region.
He reaffirmed the campaign's commitment to maintaining momentum ahead of the 2024 elections, dismissing speculation as misinformed political analysis.
