The communications director of the CPP in the Ashanti region has called on Government to conduct mental health screening for every Ghanaian following the death of Captain Maxwell Mahama.
Capt. Maxwell Mahama, an officer of the 5 Infantry Battalion, who was said to have been on his daily jogging routine was met his untimely death.
Multiples report suggested that Maxwell Mahama had his gun on him while jogging, and some residents who saw him with the gun raised alarm, attracting some of the youth in the community who attacked and killed him.
Osei Kofi Acquah commenting on Captain Maxwell Mahama’s gory death at Denkyira Obuasi in the Central region on Monday May 29 suggested that government should make mental health screening free and compulsory, and make available drugs to cure all those who will be found sick.
Speaking on Abusua Nkomo hosted by Kwame Adinkra said after carefully watching the video and taken into consideration a lot of mob justice that has happened in the country and the cruelty at which the mob administer the Justice, calls for mental health.
The CPP communications director believes that, the high level of unemployment, coupled high taxes and high standard of living has led to several people feeling frustrated and causing some sort of insanity, among some people.
