Professor Joshua Alabi, the Campaign Manager for the NDC's flagbearer, John Mahama, has attributed the party's loss in the 2020 election to the COVID-19 pandemic and the death of Jerry John Rawlings.
He noted that the pandemic disrupted campaign activities, while the government used its COVID-19 interventions for indirect campaigning.
Alabi expressed optimism for the 2024 elections, stating that the party has learned from past mistakes and will campaign harder.
He outlined strategies such as door-to-door campaigning and constituency engagement, emphasizing issue-based and civil campaigning
