Mr James Gunu, the Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said the Party would come out of its national delegates congress stronger, united and better prepared to win the 2020 general election.
He said the functional executive committee of the Party provided a level playing field for all aspirants, which ensured a 'clean' campaign and that the congress would solidify the Party's unity.
Mr Gunu said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on the Party's preparedness for the impending national congress scheduled for November 17.
He said the Region was pleased with the campaign activities of the about 40 out of the 65 aspirants for the various national executive positions who visited the Region.
He said the campaigns were based on issues and commended the aspirants and delegates for the smooth and peaceful campaign period.
Mr Gunu urged the delegates to attend the congress in their numbers to celebrate the Party's unity.
