EC action is a breach of faith – PPP National Secretary

The National Secretary of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Remy Edmundson, has criticized the Electoral Commission (EC) for breaching trust.

He stated that during the last Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting, it was agreed that political parties could station their agents to observe the transfer of votes.

However, the EC later issued instructions to disallow party agents from polling stations, citing an incident in Kasoa where a member of the NPP was stabbed.

Edmundson questioned the EC's decision, noting that such incidents are not frequent or significant enough to warrant such a directive without consulting political parties.
