EC’s disqualification of Joana Cudjoe mischievous and disingenuous – NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Head of Legal Affairs, Edudzie Tamekloe, has criticized the Electoral Commission (EC) for disqualifying the party's parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe.

Speaking on Citi FM, Tamekloe called the EC's decision "mischievous and disingenuous," arguing that the Commission was aware of court proceedings involving the candidate's election and had supervised a rerun of the primary.

He claimed the EC's reference to an unresolved court injunction was unfounded, accusing the Commission of bias.

The EC, in an October 10 letter, cited the court order as the reason for disqualification.
