Election 2024: We’ll overhaul struggling BoG – Adongo

Isaac Adongo, MP for Bolgatanga Central and spokesperson for John Mahama's campaign on the economy, announced that the next NDC government will overhaul the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to improve its performance.

Speaking on Woezor TV, Adongo criticized BoG's leadership under Dr. Ernest Addison, blaming it for failing to control inflation and stabilize the exchange rate.

He described the BoG as “not fit for purpose” and emphasized the need for reform.

Adongo argued that BoG's current state is contributing to rising inflation, interest rates, and exchange rate instability, making change essential for economic recovery.
