The Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) is moving quickly to select a new presidential candidate following the death of its founder, Akua Donkor, on October 29.
Party leaders have confirmed that a new candidate has been chosen, although their name has not yet been disclosed.
It is rumored that one of the disqualified presidential aspirants may be the new representative.
GFP leaders held a news conference to express their commitment to honoring Donkor's legacy and confirmed that both the presidential candidate and running mate have been agreed upon.
The party plans to unveil the new candidate soon, ahead of the Electoral Commission's deadline, demonstrating its dedication to the upcoming December 7 elections.
