The government has increased cash grants for households in the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) program by 100%, effective July 1.
The bi-monthly payments have increased significantly, ranging from GHS 256 for one eligible member household to GHS 424 for four eligible member households.
This increase is aimed at helping beneficiaries cover essential needs such as medical bills and school fees, amidst current inflation.
The program is in partnership with the World Bank, World Food Program, and Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, and demonstrates the government's commitment to poverty alleviation.
