The Ho High Court has ordered Peter Amewu to testify on July 2, 2024, in the ongoing SALL election denial case.
Amewu's counsel had previously claimed he was unavailable due to a national assignment.
The court added two new issues to the trial, questioning its power to declare C.I 128 unconstitutional and the Electoral Commission's authority to place SALL communities under Jasikan District.
The petitioners' counsel, Tsatsu Tsikata, argued that these issues were already covered, while Amewu's counsel claimed the court lacked jurisdiction.
The court allowed the additional issues and ordered Amewu to testify or file a witness statement within three days.
