Defeated NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Talensi Constituency, Thomas Duanab, has hinted he will contest the seat again in 2016.
Duanab who conceded defeat to the NDC’s Benson Tongo Baba after Tuesday’s tension-filled by-election, told Anopa Kasapa host Fiifi Banson that he is going to use the next few months ahead to work towards an NPP victory in 2016.
Official results released by the EC yesterday put Duanab behind Baba’s 10,366 votes.
He polled 6,845 and was neck-to-neck with the PNC candidate who also polled 6,836 in an election that saw five other candidates from the smaller parties poll just a handful of votes.
B.T Baba is expected to be sworn in by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Doe Adjaho on the floor of the House in the coming days.
