I take full responsibility for L.I allowing MPs use sirens – Ayine

Dominic Ayine, Chairman of the Subsidiary Legislation Committee of Parliament, has accepted responsibility for a proposed amendment to the Road Traffic Regulations that would allow MPs to use sirens and be exempt from speed limits.

The proposal faced significant backlash from the public and the minority caucus.

In an interview, Ayine clarified that the amendment was merely a proposal and not a directive to the Transport Minister.

He emphasized that he had not personally advocated for the amendment and took responsibility for the committee's actions.
