I wasn’t arrested over Kasoa vote transfer incident – Awutu Senya East NDC PC

Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Awutu Senya East, has clarified that she was not arrested but invited by the police after her driver and security guard were arrested for a licensed gun found in her car during the recent vote transfer exercise incident.

Ms. Okunor emphasized that the firearm was legally licensed.

She also reiterated that she acquired the gun to protect herself against threats from the incumbent MP, Hawa Koomson, during the 2020 elections, which she claimed the police did not act upon.
