Bobby Banson, lead consultant for the Robert Smith Law Group, has advised Ghana's Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Godfred Dame, to resign amid allegations of witness tampering.
Richard Jakpa, an accused in a case involving financial loss over ambulance procurement, claimed Dame tried to influence his testimony against Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson. The NDC have presented a recording allegedly supporting this claim.
Banson suggested Dame step down to preserve the office's credibility and facilitate independent investigations by bodies like the General Legal Council or a commission of inquiry, ensuring no conflict of interest and protecting Dame's career.
