It lies with Dame to resign or for the president to sack him – Gary Nimako

Gary Nimako, Director of Legal Affairs for the NPP has said the decision to resign or sack Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah-Dame lies with him and the President.

Nimako dismissed calls for Dame's resignation over an alleged audio recording conversation with a defendant in the ambulance procurement trial, saying the tape is a "red-herring" and doesn't prove any wrongdoing by Dame.

The court had advised Dame to recuse himself from the case, but he has refused, vowing to continue prosecuting.

Nimako argued that the tape recording did not show Dame instructing the defendant to implicate the Minority Leader.
