The Electoral Commission (EC) has refuted claims that it is secretly printing extra ballot papers for the 2024 elections.
Deputy Chairperson Dr. Bossman Asare, during a tour of printing houses, stated that the exact number of ballots for each region and constituency has been transparently communicated to political parties, with all parties involved in the counting and sealing processes.
The EC clarified that a 2% increase in ballot papers per constituency is standard and agreed upon, dismissing accusations of additional thousands of ballots being printed.
This denial follows concerns from NDC agents suggesting excess printing in key regions, which the EC calls “completely false.”
