It’s okay to have an independent audit of the voter’s register – Angela Dwamena-Aboagye

Civil society organizations are supporting calls for an audit of Ghana's provisional voter register for the 2024 elections.

Dr. Angela Dwamena-Aboagye of The Ark Foundation emphasized that an independent audit could address public concerns and bolster trust in the Electoral Commission (EC).

She suggested that a reasonable audit process, rather than a forensic one, could satisfy all parties involved.

Meanwhile, the NDC has given the EC a one-week ultimatum to address their request for a forensic audit, threatening further protests if their demand is not met.
