Former President John Dramani Mahama has accused the Jubilee House of being the hub of fake news aimed at undermining him and others.
Speaking at a rally in Asene Manso Akroso in the Eastern Region, Mahama alleged that false narratives and distortions about him often originate from the seat of government.
His remarks followed a clarification from Nana Kwabena Ofori, Chief of Akyem Akroso, who denied endorsing NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, expressing instead his belief in Mahama’s leadership.
Mahama condemned the spread of misinformation, calling for integrity in politics.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information and UNESCO have launched a campaign to combat disinformation as Ghana heads toward the December 7 elections.
