Judicial Council approves Prof. Frimpong Oppong, Bernasko Essah for Supreme Court

The Judicial Council has approved Professor Richard Frimpong Oppong and Justice Sophia Rosetta Bernasko Essah for the Supreme Court of Ghana.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo announced their nominations during the inauguration of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre on July 16, 2024.

Both nominees will undergo a vetting process in Parliament.

Prof. Frimpong Oppong brings extensive legal and academic experience, while Justice Essah has served as a State Attorney and in various judicial roles, including the High Court and Court of Appeal.
