Sanitation and Water Resources Minister, Lydia Seyram Alhassan has visited the Weija and Kpong Water Treatment Plants to address challenges facing the facilities.
The visit revealed issues such as encroachment on land, sand mining impacts, and funding needs for expansion and pipe replacement.
The plants' managers highlighted ongoing struggles with encroachment and demolition efforts.
Minister Alhassan assured that her ministry is working with the National Security Ministry to address these issues and secure funding for plant expansion and pipe replacement, emphasizing that funding is a top priority.
