John Mahama highlighted a chapter focusing on his time as a student in Moscow
NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has launched the Russian translation of his memoir, 'My First Coup D’etat and Other Stories from the Lost Decades of Africa' in Moscow.
The memoir chronicles his upbringing and the history of Ghana and Africa during times of political and economic instability.
He highlighted a chapter focusing on his time as a student in Moscow during the era of Gorbachev and the Perestroika.
Mahama thanked those involved in translating and organizing the launch, and encouraged the audience to read the book to discover the African story in an easy-to-read and journalistic form.
He expressed hope that the book would be of interest to Russian academia.
