NDC flagbearer John Mahama has outlined extensive plans to enhance Ghana's Free Senior High School (SHS) program if elected.
During the NDC manifesto reading on August 12, he pledged to decentralize food procurement to boost local economies and improve school food quality.
Mahama also plans to expand infrastructure, complete E-blocks, and abolish the double-track system to ensure consistent schooling for students.
For tertiary education, he proposed affordable on-campus housing through public-private partnerships and the ‘No Fee Stress Initiative’ for financial aid.
Additionally, Mahama promised continuous recruitment of teachers and nurses and the abolition of the Teacher Licensure Examination.
