Mahama promises a Property Rights of Spouses Bill to protect women in marriage

John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised to introduce the Property Rights of Spouses Bill if elected in December.

This legislation aims to protect women’s rights in marriage, ensuring equitable sharing of property during separations.

He also announced plans for a Domestic Workers Bill to safeguard vulnerable workers, particularly women, from abuse and mistreatment.

Mahama emphasized the need for legal protections to prevent exploitation and ensure accountability for those who mistreat domestic workers.
