Former President John Mahama, NDC's 2024 flagbearer, has denied claims that he cut short his Northern Region tour due to political pressures in the Volta Region.
The NDC clarified that Mahama’s Volta visit was pre-planned as part of a national campaign strategy, not a response to NPP flagbearer Dr. Bawumia’s activities.
The party dismissed the reports as "mischievous" and reiterated its strong support in the Volta Region, describing Bawumia as the NPP’s "weakest flagbearer."
The NDC also criticized Asaase Radio for spreading false information and reaffirmed its commitment to a nationwide campaign.
