Political Science lecturer at the African University College of communications (AUCC), Ogor Chuku Nweke says the infrastructural development by the outgoing administration will add value to the Akufo-Addo government.
According to the political analyst, infrastructures connect people quickly for development so the incoming administration cannot go wrong.
Speaking on 3FM’s morning show, Sunrise, Ogor believes the country has progressed to some level under the John Mahama-led administration.
‘‘The things made in the area of infrastructural development will add a lot of value to whatever the Akufo-Addo administration will be achieving. You know, infrastructure connects us to ever things so we expect that those made in the area of roads, ICT and structures will add a lot of value.
Ghanaians were not saying it didn’t add any value or touch their lives. Sometimes people make bad financial decisions and still blame it on the system so I’m saying that where there is infrastructure, you can’t go wrong’’.
He further added that he is hopeful the NPP administration will continue the good things the NDC has started while working to correct what has gone wrong. ‘‘One of the biggest challenges we have in Africa is lack of continuity.
When one government takes over from another, especially the opposition, you could see projects started with a lot of monies die like that, while new one sprout. so I am expecting that whatever, good things the NDC started will be continued by the Akufo-Addo administration while correcting what it thinks has gone wrong’’.
