Former President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to investigate the controversial PDS deal and recover stolen funds if elected in the 2024 elections.
Addressing a crowd in the Eastern Region, Mahama referred to an audio involving government figures discussing the alleged sharing of money from the deal.
He promised to establish a special court under the Chief Justice to work with the Auditor General to retrieve all misappropriated funds.
Mahama emphasized his commitment to tackling corruption, ensuring accountability, and restoring public trust.
The PDS deal, which took over the Electricity Company of Ghana in 2019, was suspended and eventually terminated following fraud allegations.
