Ghana’s Parliament remains at a standstill after Speaker Alban Bagbin indefinitely adjourned proceedings on November 7, citing the absence of a prepared agenda.
Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has vowed to engage the Speaker to resolve the impasse, which stems from ongoing tensions over which caucus holds the majority.
Bagbin insists on committee input and a formal agenda to resume operations.
Afenyo-Markin remains hopeful but may resort to legal measures if talks fail. With elections approaching, the deadlock threatens Ghana’s legislative progress.
