John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has responded to President Akufo-Addo’s recent remarks labeling him a “one-term president.”
Speaking at a governance forum in Accra, Mahama rejected the label, emphasizing his commitment to Ghana’s progress and accomplishments beyond his tenure length.
"I know my level," he said, contrasting his dedication to governance with "clearing agents" who sideline accountability.
Mahama reaffirmed his pledge to strengthen systems promoting accountability, insisting that fighting corruption requires “courage and principle.” He vowed to support transparency and merit-based appointments for responsible governance.
