Fiifi Boafo, spokesperson for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has clarified that Dr. Prempeh’s call for chiefs to engage in political discourse does not infringe on Ghana’s constitution.
Speaking on Citi FM's Eyewitness News, Boafo emphasized that Dr. Prempeh, at a meeting with the Nungua Traditional Council, urged traditional leaders to express their views on key national issues like natural resource management to ensure collective development.
He highlighted that Dr. Prempeh is not asking chiefs to endorse political parties but to contribute their perspectives as key stakeholders in Ghana’s progress, particularly in managing resources effectively.
