NDC MPs will obey Bagbin’s decision, not Supreme Court – Ayariga

Bawku Central MP Mahama Ayariga says National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs will take the Majority position in Parliament when it reconvenes on October 22 unless directed otherwise by Speaker Alban Bagbin.

Ayariga argues they follow Bagbin’s rulings, not the Supreme Court's decision to stay Bagbin's earlier ruling that declared four parliamentary seats vacant.

He criticized the Court for interfering in parliamentary matters, calling it unnecessary and suggesting political bias.

The Speaker had ruled the seats vacant due to MPs switching political parties, but the Court paused this decision after a request from the Majority Leader.
