Elikem Kotoko, Deputy National Organizer of the NDC, announced that the party's proposed "no academic fees" policy will initially apply to first-year students in public universities.
The policy aims to make higher education more accessible, starting with public institutions and potentially extending to private universities later.
Kotoko highlighted that the policy will be refined through nationwide consultations in January 2025 to ensure it aligns with Ghanaian needs.
This initiative is part of the NDC's broader educational reforms, promised under a future administration led by John Dramani Mahama.
