The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has boycotted the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meetings since March 2020 due to concerns about the posture of the Electoral Commission (EC)
However, the party recently rejoined IPAC and has provided valuable feedback to the EC for improving Ghana's electoral system.
The EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa, welcomed the NDC's return and emphasized the importance of their participation.
The NDC's feedback has been constructive, and their input was considered in the just-ended registration exercise.
Despite previous refusals and disputes, the NDC publicly committed to rejoining IPAC and has actively participated in meetings since December 2023.
