Thousands of NDC supporters have gathered at the Cantonments Police Station to demand the release of Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, the party's parliamentary candidate for Awutu Senya East, who was detained on Friday.
The protesters, clad in NDC colors, chanted slogans and expressed outrage over the detention, which they deem politically motivated and unjust.
Former President John Mahama has also condemned the detention, urging the police and government to uphold justice and fairness.
