Andy Appiah-Kubi, NPP MP for Asante Akim North, has criticized the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) for conducting a survey on the party's running mate selection.
The leaked poll from June 19 indicated that Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh was the preferred choice among party members to be Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's running mate.
The survey involved 5,116 NPP delegates nationwide. Appiah-Kubi described the NIB's involvement as "very unnecessary" and inappropriate, asserting that a national institution should not survey an individual's nomination within a political party.
He suggested the presidential candidate should disregard the NIB's findings.
