NPP MPs anticipate favourable Supreme Court verdict on vacant seats

Alex Tetteh Djornobuah, the NPP’s Second Deputy Whip, is hopeful that the Supreme Court will soon resolve the controversy over Speaker Alban Bagbin’s declaration of four parliamentary seats as vacant.

The court's ruling, expected before the next parliamentary session, could ease the ongoing dispute between the NPP and NDC over majority status.

The standoff has disrupted parliamentary work, forcing an NPP boycott and halting critical government business. Djornobuah remains optimistic that the court's decision will bring clarity and restore order in Parliament, allowing legislative duties to resume.
