John Dramani Mahama, presidential candidate for the NDC, has promised to build a 500-meter bridge over the Oti River if elected in 2024.
The bridge aims to ease transportation for residents who currently rely on a slow ferry.
Mahama criticized the NPP for failing to deliver on a similar plan and for mismanaging the country’s finances, including borrowing US$11 billion without visible improvements.
He also pledged to develop the Oti region and improve local infrastructure, urging voters to bring the NDC back to power to continue its development efforts.
