Health Minister Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye has taken personal interest in clearing essential health commodities funded by the Global Fund, meeting with the Ministry of Finance and Ghana Revenue Authority to streamline the process at Tema Port.
The government has released GHC7,429,694.39 for demurrage and third-party charges, aiming to clear all outstanding containers by June 2024.
The minister's efforts has demonstrated the government's commitment to improving healthcare delivery and ensuring timely access to vital health supplies, including life-saving medications and medical equipment.
