Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, known as "Napo," has resigned as Minister for Energy to focus on his role as the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) running mate for the 2024 election.
His resignation, effective July 18, follows his nomination alongside Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
President Akufo-Addo accepted his resignation, commending his significant contributions as Minister for Education and Minister for Energy.
