Over 1,000 supporters of the 2020 independent parliamentary candidate and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Assin South, Central Region, have defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), pledging support for the current MP, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour.

Some defectors expressed dissatisfaction with the NDC and the independent candidate, believing Fordjour to be the best choice for the constituency’s growth.
