Release provisional voter register now – NDC to EC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is demanding that the Electoral Commission (EC) immediately release the provisional voter register for the December 7 elections.

Dr. Omane Boamah, the NDC’s Director of Elections, criticized the EC for delays, accusing it of incompetence and attempting to provide a sub-standard register.

He warned that this could lead to electoral chaos and urged civil society and international bodies to scrutinize the EC’s actions.

The NDC claims that the late release of the register impedes thorough review and preparation, stressing the need for transparency and timely access to ensure credible elections.
