The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference has urged addressing the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s concerns before committing to any peace pact for the 2024 elections.
The NDC has expressed reluctance to sign a peace agreement without certain issues being resolved.
The Conference's President, Most Rev. Mathew Kwasi Gyamfi, emphasized that peace must be rooted in justice, highlighting unresolved issues like the Ayawaso incident.
He urged transparency from relevant agencies to build trust while stressing that the nation's peace should not be held hostage by political interests.
