Sacking Lands Minister won’t end galamsey – Miracles Aboagye

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Communications Director for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign, has argued that removing Lands and Natural Resources Minister Samuel Jinapor will not solve the illegal mining crisis ("galamsey").

Aboagye noted that galamsey existed long before Jinapor took office, making calls for his dismissal ineffective.

His remarks follow demands from the Minority in Parliament for Jinapor’s removal, blaming him for failing to protect Ghana’s water bodies.

Aboagye emphasized that scapegoating ministers won’t address the core issue, urging for a non-partisan approach to effectively tackle the illegal mining problem.
