The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, has revealed that security agents infiltrated the ranks of the five leaders ‘coup plotters’ who were planning on taking over the country from the Akufo-Addo-led government.

He stated that the persons joined the plotters, pretending to be coconspirators and succeeded in filming and recording every bit of their action over the fifteen month period within which they planned in order to expose them.

“…you see the manufacturing in action. You see they had been infiltrated. It was the infiltrators who were videoing and recording for fifteen months,” he revealed Saturday on Multimedia’s Newsfile programme monitored by MyNewsGh.com hosted by Samson Anyenini.

He has commended the security and intelligence agencies for having done a good job in gathering incontestable evidence in such a professional manner.

“I give credit to the security establishment the Defence and Intelligence in particular,” he noted.

The much experienced journalist believes that the evidence gathered is incontrovertible unlike in some instances in past governments when they were hoaxes.

“The meetings were they met and decided to recruit is all recorded. So in my view, this is not one of the fakes,” he added.

Dr. Frederick Yao Mac-Palm owner of Cidatel Hospital Hospital and his two accomplices – Mr. Ezor Kafui (a local weapon manufacturer) and Mr. Bright Allan Debrah Ofosu (aka BB or ADC) were arrested and have been remanded by a court over the incident.

A senior military officer, Colonel Samuel Kojo Gameli and Gershon Akpa who is a civilian employee were also arrested and remanded by a Kaneshie District Court presided over by Rosemond Dodua Agyiri for their alleged involvement in a coup plot.
