Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, has called Members of Parliament back from recess for an emergency session on Tuesday, September 3.
This decision comes after Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin petitioned the Speaker, expressing dissatisfaction with the indefinite adjournment on July 30.
The session will address urgent issues including a Financing Agreement with the International Development Association, tax exemptions for the One District, One Factory Programme, matters concerning the Ghana Financial Stability Fund, and several bills.
Afenyo-Markin emphasized the urgency and national interest of these matters, urging Parliament to reconvene to fulfill its constitutional duties.
