Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, the NDC’s Director of Legal Affairs, has strongly opposed the Supreme Court's decision to stay Speaker Alban Bagbin’s ruling, which declared four parliamentary seats vacant.
Tamakloe criticized the court's ex-parte handling of the motion for abridgement of time, arguing it was unnecessary since Parliament was functioning normally. He questioned how the Supreme Court would respond if the Speaker barred the four MPs from Parliament.
Tamakloe also warned that this judicial intervention threatens Ghana's democracy, calling it a "dangerous experiment."
The ruling involved MPs who intended to run as independents or switch political affiliations.
