Martin Kpebu, a private legal practitioner has joined calls for Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame's resignation following the release of an audio allegedly implicating him in misconduct.
Kpebu criticized Deputy Attorney-General Alfred Tuah-Yeboah for defending Dame, citing the clear evidence of wrongdoing in the recording.
He asserted that Dame's resignation is necessary to restore confidence in the judiciary and the government.
Kpebu suggested that both the Attorney-General and his deputy should step down to cleanse the system and prevent further damage to Ghana's reputation.
The controversy stems from allegations that Dame asked a defendant to testify falsely against a political figure.
