Adaklu MP Kwame Governs Agbodza has announced that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will take the majority in Parliament when sessions resume on Thursday.
Speaker Alban Bagbin recently declared four parliamentary seats vacant, including one from the NDC and three from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), due to MPs filing as independent candidates for the upcoming election.
This decision brought the NDC's numbers to 136 and the NPP’s to 135, temporarily making the NDC the majority.
Despite a Supreme Court suspension of Bagbin’s ruling, Agbodza remains confident, declaring he will assume the role of majority chief whip.
